  • Blackboard username information (Tuesday, May 10, 2016)

    Blackboard users need to login using their Hood College username only.

    For example: abc01

    Using your Hood assigned e-mail address, for example "abc01@hood.edu" or prefixing your account with "pergola\abc01" or "hood\username" will result in a failed login attempt to Blackboard.

    If you have issues with logging into Blackboard, please contact the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@hood.edu or

    301-696-3622.

  • Browser login instructions for iPhone or iPad users (Tuesday, May 10, 2016)

    Users who wish to login to Blackboard through a browser on their iPhone or iPad device must select the "Login" button after entering their account information.

    Selecting the "Go" button on the virtual keyboard does not allow users to login to the system and will cause their login screen to freeze. If this occurs simply refresh your browser screen and re-enter your user information and select the "Login" button.

User Name and Password Information:
All users of the Blackboard system will use their Hood assigned network user name and password to login. If you have difficulty logging in to Blackboard 9 as a result of this system change. Please contact the IT Help Desk at 301-696-3622 or helpdesk@hood.edu to request assistance.

Reasons why your password may not work:
- User is trying to use a pre-existing internal Blackboard password which is different from their current Hood/Pergola Network password.
- User has not used their Hood/Pergola Network account recently/ever and do not remember/know their Network password.
- Users account is locked and will require a reset by the IT Help Desk. Please contact the IT Help Desk at 301-696-3622 or helpdesk@hood.edu
